INNOROBO: INNOVATION ROBOTIC SUMMIT
A successful first edition
Nearly 10 000 registered entries
Next edition is planned from the 14th to the 16th of March 2012
Paris, April 4, 2011
Organized by SYROBO, French Federation of service robotics, INNOROBO, the first European summit dedicated to innovation and service robotics, was held in Lyon from March 23 to 25, 2011. This first European edition was a resounding success and helped to highlight all of the players, companies, researchers, engineers, experts,... who contributed thanks to their development of service robotics to this major sector of growth in the global economic activity.
AN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION AREA
The 80 exhibitors, representing 9 countries including a large delegation of 12 Korean companies, guest of honor, have fully illustrated the richness, diversity and innovation in service robotics in the world. More than 100 robots have been demonstrated out of which 30 were presented for the first time in Europe. They also demonstrate the importance of this market that should grow exponentially in the coming years to reach over $ 100 billion in 2020 (source: IFR).
Innorobo was for many the opportunity to build trade relations and sustainable working relationships.
WORLD CLASS SPEAKERS FOR CONFERENCE PROGRAMS
Three conference programs were given as part of INNOROBO - Robolift, Robot Market Focus and 9th European Meeting of Mechatronics - We gathered a large audience, thanks to the high quality of the 39 speakers present. Bringing together an outstanding college of international experts, the various presentations, perspectives and visions of the market have led to some relevant insights to understanding the challengesand opportunites of robotic services and economic and societal consequences of the intelligence provided to machines.
NUMEROUS TRADE VISITORS
Between 4000 and 5000 visitors were expected by the organizers !
Thanks to many opportunities and prospects offered by the robotics market of services, INNOROBO was a great success in terms of visitors to professionals in robotics and other related industries, with nearly 10 000 registered entries over the 3 days summit.
